About this event
Matthew Bourne's filmed ballet moves Cinderella to London during the Blitz, where she falls for a wounded RAF pilot. A mysterious angel takes the fairy godmother's place, with Prokofiev's score carrying the wartime romance.
Lez Brotherston's set and costume designs put Cinderella's silver-white transformation against a bomb-damaged city. This is a cinema screening of the ballet, rated PG and running for 1 hour 50 minutes.
Doors and the bar open at 6.15pm, ahead of the 7pm screening. The foyer, hall and accessible toilet are on the ground floor, but standard raked seats involve steps; book limited floor-level wheelchair or accessible places in advance, with friends and family in Row A behind.
Contact the office for CEA Card bookings, and ask the box office about the hearing-loop equipment for screenings. The free Old Railyard Long Stay Car Park is beside The Shed but shared with other visitors, so allow time to park and approach via Cirencester Road rather than the dead end at Gumstool Hill.
Ticketed. Advance and on-the-door admission; check current availability before travelling.
