Royal Academy of Music Lunchtime Concert: Harry Bowden, piano

Beethoven, Chopin and Scriabin over lunch

Harry Bowden closes the Royal Academy of Music's 2026 lunchtime series at the Goods Shed with Beethoven's Piano Sonata in C minor, Op. 111, Chopin's Two Nocturnes, Op. 62, and Scriabin's Piano Sonata No. 5, Op. 53. The 19-year-old pianist from Bolton is a Drapers' Company Scholar at the Academy, following earlier study at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music.

The hall and foyer are accessible at ground level, with floor-level seating and wheelchair space available for events. Contact the venue about specific requirements; its hearing loop does not work for acoustic performances.

The nearby Old Railyard long-stay car park is free, but it is shared council parking and can fill for busy performances. Allow time to park and settle in for this final lunchtime recital of the year.

Ticketed. Under-25s attend free; book through the venue.
