Royal Academy of Music Lunchtime Concert: Amore Bruciante (soprano & piano)

Quiet songs and Spanish dances share a lunchtime stage

Soprano Caroline Blair and pianist Katya Grabova perform Amore Bruciante, a recital that pairs the intimacy of song with Spanish dance rhythms. Berio's Quattro Canzoni Popolari sits alongside songs by Berg, Zemlinsky and Barber, with music by Turina, Falla, Albeniz and Ravel adding a different pace and colour.

Blair is a Royal Academy Opera student who has been a Young Artist with Ryedale Festival and Waterperry Opera Festival. Grabova has performed at Wigmore Hall and the Southbank Centre, bringing concert-hall experience to an afternoon that gives you time to listen closely.

The Goods Shed has accessible ground-floor facilities, although its usual raked seating has steps; ask ahead about floor-level seating or wheelchair space. Its hearing loop works for amplified events only, so check support for this recital before booking if you rely on it. The adjacent Old Railyard long-stay car park is free, with accessible spaces; allow extra arrival time when the venue is busy.

Ticketed; under-25s free. Book ahead through the event page; a booking fee applies.
