Johnny Coppin: All on a Winter's Night

Carols, country customs and stories between the songs

Johnny Coppin brings All on a Winter's Night to Tetbury with traditional carols, new songs and stories steeped in folklore and superstition. Original and traditional songs and tunes draw on Britain, Ireland, France and beyond, with material from Midwinter Live in Concert and his earlier Christmas albums.

Paul Burgess plays fiddle and recorders and shares stories, Dik Cadbury plays guitar, and Geoff March adds cello. Seasonal images by Martin Fry accompany the music, giving the evening a visual thread as well as its familiar winter songs.

The hall and foyer are accessible at ground level, although standard raked seating involves steps; arrange floor-level seating or wheelchair space with the venue. The shared Old Railyard car park is free and can fill on busy nights, so arrive early via Cirencester Road; Gumstool Hill has no vehicle access.

Ticketed event. Under-16 tickets are available; book through the venue.
