About this event
One night, three talents — and a headline act unlike anything else on the Cotswolds calendar this spring.
Alistair McGowan is best known as one of Britain's sharpest impressionists, but there's more to the man than celebrity voices. This intimate evening weaves together three strands of his creative life: the comedy and impressions that made his name, poetry from his published collection Not What We Were Expecting, and perhaps most surprisingly a genuine turn at the piano, performing pieces by Debussy, Satie, Scriabin, and Amy Beach.
His classical piano album reached Number 1 in the classical charts, prompting The Observer to declare simply: "He plays the piano splendidly." Sir Richard Stilgoe put it well: "You don't get to be a great impressionist without a feel for rhythm and rhyme and pitch."
It all comes together on a Friday evening at the Tetbury Goods Shed. One of the Cotswolds' best small venues for live performance.
