About this event
Make a silver ring or pendant around a piece of sea glass or pottery with jeweller Fiona Dowling. You will build a bezel setting and learn sawing, soldering, filing, hammering, hand-stamping and finishing, with a piece of jewellery to take home at the end of the day.
The workshop welcomes beginners aged 18 and over, and tools are supplied. Fiona has 20 years of jewellery-industry experience and an MA from the Royal College of Art; you can bring your own sea glass or pottery, although some pieces may be unsuitable for setting.
Silver costs extra and is paid for separately to the tutor on the day. Bring an apron or clothes you can get dirty, remove jewellery and tie back long hair.
Bring drinks in a lidded bottle or cup, and keep food out of the studio; the Blend café is on site. The venue has accessible studios, a lift and an accessible toilet, with Brewery and Sheep Street car parks nearby. For sat nav, use GL7 1HW.
Sold out. Join the New Brewery Arts waiting list for cancellations.
