About this event
Amarjeet Kaur Nandhra leads this full day textile workshop in Tetra Pak intaglio printing, turning recycled food packaging into plates that can be cut, scored and peeled to create lines, marks and tonal areas. You will print onto fabric, producing original pieces for textile projects or to keep as standalone work.
Nandhra is a textile artist and educator with more than 40 years of experience making art and 30 years of teaching, and the workshop sits within the Textile Study Group's UNmaking exhibition programme. It is open to adults of all abilities, with all printing materials, sundries, a small press and one Tetra Pak per person provided.
Bring a scalpel, small cutting mat, a range of roughly A4-sized fabrics such as cotton, linen, silk or transparent cloth, and a packed lunch; a spare Tetra Pak may be useful if you have time to print a second plate. The museum has step-free entry and ramp access to the galleries, with free parking in the Stratford Park car park around 400 metres away and accessible bays directly outside.
Ticketed. Booking required; call 01453 763394 or book online.
