Patchwork Stories: Creative Workshop for Children

Turn a family story into patchwork and poetry

Writer Sita Brahmachari and illustrator Jane Ray lead children from the pages of The Tale That Time Sews into their own storytelling. In this one-hour workshop, creative writing and art come together in a patchwork piece or threaded poem inspired by each child's story.

Their picture book explores family, migration and new beginnings, and all workshop materials are provided. The session is for ages six and over, with 30 places; a parent or guardian must remain on site with under-14s.

The museum has step-free access and family facilities, with accessible parking outside and a short walk from the main car park. Bring a story your child would like to tell and see what words, pictures and thread can make of it.

Ticketed. Advance booking required.
