Create your own Comic! Workshop with Tor Freeman for ages 8-14

Give your characters a panel of their own

Tor Freeman helps young artists build expressive characters, visual jokes and lively panel layouts, then turn them into short comic strips. The author and illustrator of Boss of the Underworld brings step-by-step guidance to this one-hour session for children aged eight to fourteen.

Freeman also makes strips for The Phoenix, linking the workshop to the comics children might already read. All materials are provided and there are 30 places, so each child can concentrate on putting a story on paper.

A parent or guardian must remain on site with under-14s, and accompanying adults do not need a ticket. If your child enjoys drawing and making up stories, this is a chance to find out how a picture, a panel and a well-timed joke work together.

Ticketed. Advance booking required.
