Beaded Christmas Baubles

Turn a plain shape into a beaded Christmas decoration

Use ribbons, sequins, pins and beads to turn a polystyrene shape into a finished bauble. Textile designer and educator Mairi Gillies guides you through layering trims, adding embellishments and choosing colour combinations, with ideas and skills to make more at home.

Beginners are welcome, and all materials and equipment are included. The workshop is for adults aged 18 and over; bring a lidded bottle or cup, and keep food and open drinks outside the studio.

The studios are wheelchair accessible, with a lift and a ground-floor disabled toilet, and the nearby pay-and-display Brewery Car Park has disabled spaces. Contact New Brewery Arts when booking about access needs or difficulty standing; Blend café on site is open until 4pm if you want refreshments afterwards.

Ticketed. Book in advance through New Brewery Arts, ideally more than two weeks ahead as undersubscribed classes may be cancelled; a waiting list is available if the session sells out.
