Willow Sculpture at Westonbirt: winter classroom workshop

Choose the shape your willow will take

A garden sculpture, bird feeder, abstract shape or willow animal can be your project for this small-group workshop. Tutor Zoe guides the weaving and technical work, with beginners welcome and materials provided.

The January session uses a classroom, with time to step outside into the winter arboretum. Arrive early enough to park and walk to the Learning Centre before the 10am start, and tell the welcome staff you are attending the workshop so the entry charge can be waived.

Bring secateurs if you have them, or borrow a pair, and wear suitable craft clothes with extra layers for any outdoor work. There is a 45-minute lunch break; a packed lunch is the straightforward option, or check the cafe opening arrangements before relying on it.

Accessible parking and hard paths are available around the visitor facilities, and mobility equipment needs advance booking. The weaving activity and classroom support arrangements have not been individually assessed, so contact Zoe about age suitability or any support you need.

Ordinary dogs cannot attend the workshop; assistance dogs are permitted under the venue access arrangements. Full payment secures a booking, and low bookings may lead to cancellation with a refund.

If you cancel more than 14 days beforehand, a refund is available with an administration charge; cancellations less than 14 days beforehand do not qualify for a refund. Check the full terms for discretionary alternatives and the exact 14-day boundary.

Owner review: entry-waiver and Learning Centre instructions come from the organiser, while the venue event page gives the wider arboretum location. Confirm the room, individual support and admission arrangements if needed before publication.

Booking required. Materials included.
