Follow the yellow brick road to Stratford Park

Stratford Park in August is already a good reason to get out of the house. Add IKP's touring theatre company with a cast of munchkins, winged monkeys and one very lost girl from Kansas, and it becomes something worth actually planning around.

IKP bring their comedy adaptation of L. Frank Baum's classic to the grounds of Museum in the Park — an outdoor show built around physical humour and fast-paced multi-roling, with enough laughs for adults who nominally came along for the kids. Dorothy, the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion and Toto are all present; so are the witches, the enchanted slippers and a Wonderful Wizard who is, predictably, not entirely what he seems. Bring rugs or camping chairs, and dress for whatever August has in store.
