Four Poets, One Pub Back Room

Shipston Bookfest's poetry night runs a full bill rather than a single headline act, hosted at The White Horse in Shipston-on-Stour.

Compere Tim Porter, better known locally from Shipston Proms, keeps the evening moving. Bassie Gracie opens with her own poetry and talks through her debut novel, Soap on a Rope. Local poets Minimoose and Joost A B Lohman follow with readings from their own collections, and the night closes with live readings from the Tramway200 verse competition, run in partnership with Shipston Museum.

It's the kind of bill where you turn up for one name and leave with three more to look up.
