Medieval Cirencester Town Walk: December

📅 Saturday, 12 December 2026 at 11:00📍 Meet at Corinium Museum, Park Street, Cirencester, Gloucestershire GL7 2BX

About this event

Walk through the town built on wool wealth

Cotswold wool helped make medieval fortunes in Cirencester, paying for a parish church and hospital and supporting markets, inns and shops. This guided town walk explores that wealth through the lives of monks, merchants and the people using the medieval streets.

Meet at Corinium Museum for the 11am departure, wearing comfortable shoes and bringing a raincoat. The outdoor route's accessibility has not been confirmed, so check with the museum if surfaces or step-free access affect your plans.

The museum has accessible toilets and wheelchairs to borrow. Those facilities apply to the meeting venue, rather than confirming access along the whole walk.

Ticketed. Booking recommended because places are limited.
