Medieval Cirencester Town Walk

📅 Saturday, 21 November 2026 at 11:00📍 Meet at Corinium Museum, Park Street, Cirencester, Gloucestershire GL7 2BX

About this event

Follow the wool money through medieval Cirencester

This town walk explores how Cotswold wool helped pay for Cirencester's parish church, a hospital and the markets, inns and shops around them. Meet at Corinium Museum, then follow the medieval story through the town's buildings and streets.

Wear comfortable shoes and bring a raincoat for the outdoor walk. The scheduled slot is 11am to noon, but allow a little extra time as the route can run just over an hour.

The museum has accessible toilets and wheelchairs to borrow, but the outdoor route has its own surfaces and crossings. Check the route with the organiser if you need step-free access before choosing this walk.

Ticketed. Booking recommended because places are limited.
