About this event
Mary Portas looks back at how she helped turn Harvey Nichols into "Harvey Nicks", with its fashion, windows and energy becoming part of the 1990s conversation. At Tetbury Goods Shed, she joins Libs Nicholls of Domestic Science to discuss her memoir and what good shops can do for place, taste and identity.
The conversation draws on Portas's early career, fashion-world stories and the lessons behind building her business. Doors open at 6.45pm, and the venue has a licensed bar.
The foyer, hall, box office and accessible toilet have step-free access, though the standard raked seating includes steps. The adjoining Old Railyard long-stay car park is free; avoid approaching it through Gumstool Hill.
Ticketed. Booking available through the event page.
