FamilyNailsworth Festival 2026 - Fifteen Days of Events
Saturday 16 May
📍 Nailsworth

About this event
Charles Owen plays Wigmore Hall. He plays Carnegie Hall. He holds a professorship at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. On 13 June he's playing the Tetbury Goods Shed — and that's not a step down. That's just what makes the Goods Shed one of the more quietly remarkable small venues in the Cotswolds.
The programme is substantial: Mozart's Fantasia in C minor to open, Schubert's Wanderer-Fantasie before the interval, then Sibelius, Ravel's piano works, Liszt's shimmering Les jeux d'eaux à la Villa d'Este, and a closing pair from Chopin — the Polonaise-Fantasie and Ballade No. 1. An evening of serious piano playing, from someone who does this at the highest level in the world's best concert halls.
Tickets £26 in advance, £10 for students and under-18s. The kind of evening that's genuinely hard to find outside a major city — and here it is in Tetbury.
