About this event
Luke Sherlock has spent years tracking down England's overlooked churches —the ones that have stood at the heart of their communities for centuries, full of remarkable craftsmanship and forgotten stories, that most people walk straight past. His Sunday Times bestselling Forgotten Churches: Exploring England's Hidden Treasures covers 70 of them, including St Edward's in Stow-on-the-Wold and St Mary the Virgin in Berkeley.
He joins Jo Durrant — 20-year BBC radio veteran, podcast presenter, and a familiar face at literature, history and science festivals — in the Walled Garden Pavilion at Stratford Park: a glass-fronted room tucked inside the Museum in the Park's own secret garden borders. It's a fitting setting for a book about hidden places. The conversation is followed by questions, then tea and coffee.
Twenty places. Tickets £5–£7.50. Book ahead — it will fill.
