Copper Foil Stained Glass Lantern Workshop

Cut, foil and solder your way to a lantern

This beginner-friendly day at Lechlade Memorial Hall Pavilion introduces the Tiffany method of copper foiling. After a short safety briefing, you will prepare and cut glass, apply and burnish copper foil, then solder, finish and polish your work.

The project is one copper-foil panel, using a design supplied by Sharon of Maybug Studio, to replace the clear glass in an IKEA lantern. If time allows, you can swap up to three more panels for plain coloured glass.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided, but bring lunch and wear closed-toe shoes. The workshop is for over-18s only and is not suitable during pregnancy because lead-based solder is used. The ground-floor venue is accessible and has adjacent free parking.
