Copper Foil Stained Glass Lantern Workshop

Turn a plain lantern into something that catches the light

Learn the Tiffany method of copper foil stained glass with Sharon of Maybug Studio, making a panel for an IKEA lantern. Designs are supplied, with further plain coloured panels possible if time allows.

After a short safety briefing, you will prepare and cut glass, apply and burnish copper foil, then flux, solder, finish and polish your work. Beginners are welcome, as are people with some glass cutting experience.

Bring lunch for the full day; tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. The ground floor Memorial Hall Pavilion is accessible and has adjacent free parking.

Wear closed-toe shoes for work with sharp tools and hot soldering irons. The workshop is for over-18s only and is not suitable during pregnancy because lead-based solder is used.

Ticketed workshop. Materials are charged separately by the tutor on the day.
