Silver Jewellery Workshop Christmas Special (3 December)

A full day at the bench, with something to wear home

This Christmas special brings several Jewellery Moves silversmithing projects into one day at Lechlade Craft Barn. You can make bangles, earrings or spinner rings, add texture and choose to combine bronze with silver.

Fiona Dowling teaches sawing, soldering, filing, hammering, hand-stamping and finishing sterling silver jewellery to wear home. Beginners are welcome, as are makers who want to build on their experience; Fiona has worked in the jewellery industry for 20 years and has an MA from the Royal College of Art.

Tools, tea, coffee and biscuits are included, but materials cost extra and are paid for separately to the tutor on the day. Bring lunch and your glasses if you need them, and tie back long hair.

The minimum age is 14, and anyone aged 16 or under must attend with a participating adult who has also booked a place. External stone steps with handrails lead to the barn, which may be unsuitable for visitors with mobility difficulties.
