Find the lost and surviving inns of Cirencester

Some of Cirencester's old inns still serve drinks, while others have become private buildings or disappeared altogether. This guided walk follows their stories through national events and the social changes that shaped the town.

The route is generally on level pavement, with occasional town traffic along the way. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a raincoat; the advertised slot is 11am to 12.15pm, though the walk can take up to an hour and a half.

Meet at Corinium Museum, where accessible toilets and wheelchairs to borrow are available. Check the outdoor route with the museum if you need particular access arrangements, as venue facilities do not guarantee the whole walk is accessible.
