Keep a leaf's fine detail in a cast you made

Tutor Emma guides you through preparing grey or white air-dry clay, arranging seasonal foliage and pressing and rolling it to capture the leaves' textures. Pour eco-resin into the imprint, then demould your designs, with step-by-step guidance for anyone new to the process.

Take home at least three pieces, choosing pigment or an off-white finish before adding paint, imitation gold leaf or sealant. Paint needs to dry before sealing, so some finishing may need to happen at home.

Tools, materials, tea, coffee and biscuits are included; bring an apron you do not mind getting dirty. You can bring garden cuttings too, with fresh foliage giving a clearer imprint, and nitrile gloves and masks are available for dust sensitivity. The Pavilion has ground-floor access and adjacent free parking, making the practical side easier while you concentrate on the casts.

Ticketed; full payment confirms your place and the customer cancellation deadline is 30 October. Cancellation at least 15 days ahead allows transfer or credit; within 15 days there is no refund, though you can pass the place to another person.
