A bowl looks like the easy shape until you're the one at the wheel watching a rim wobble out of true, or a wall crack because it dried unevenly on one side. New Brewery Arts built this full day around exactly those failure points, not just the basic wheel-throwing motions.

Chiara Coppola, a studio potter working mainly in porcelain, teaches centring, opening and pulling curves through to a finished bowl form, with the six hours spent troubleshooting uneven rims and collapsing walls as they happen rather than rushing past them. No pottery experience is needed going in. One piece gets trimmed, kiln fired and glazed afterward, ready to collect a few weeks on.

You leave with clay under your nails and a fired bowl waiting for you.
