WorkshopAround the Table XL IX
Saturday 17 October
📍 Cirencester

About this event
Spend two days turning willow into a lampshade shaped by the way you want light to fall. Plan a shade for a pendant or lamp, then experiment with open or solid weaving and white, buff or naturally barked willow.
Basketry artist Tess Wakeling will guide the design and making, including frame attachment and border weaves. Beginners are welcome alongside experienced makers, and you will take home your finished shade.
Materials and equipment are included. Bring an apron or clothes you can get dirty, remove jewellery and tie back long hair.
New Brewery Arts describes its studios as wheelchair accessible, with a lift and accessible toilet; contact the team about individual arrangements if standing is difficult. Brewery Car Park is about 30 metres away and has accessible bays.
Ticketed. Full payment confirms a place, with a waiting list if the workshop fills.
