About this event

A Stool That Lasts

New Brewery Arts has been running workshops like this one since 1978, in a converted Victorian brewery behind Cirencester's Market Place. The idea is simple: two days, a piece of wood, and a set of hand tools. You leave with a stool you actually made.

The workshop runs across two days, 12 hours in total, and covers the core skills of furniture making — measuring, cutting, joinery — using traditional hand tool techniques to build a wooden stool from scratch. No prior woodworking experience is required. Materials are included in the price.
