WorkshopAutumn Colours: Natural Inks and Drawing Trees
Friday 16 October
📍 Cirencester

About this event
Join basketry artist Tess Wakeling for a two-day workshop using Somerset and locally grown willow. You will begin with an oval hoop and a Catalan-style woven base, then build the sides with different patterns, natural colours and textures.
The bag is finished with a traditional rod border and leather shoulder straps fitted with brass rivets. Tess tailors the complexity to each person, making the workshop suitable for confident beginners and people with some willow-weaving experience.
All materials and equipment are included. Bring an apron or clothes that can get dirty, tie back long hair and remove jewellery; food is not allowed in the studio, but Blend cafe is on site. New Brewery Arts and the festival list a 10am start, while the tutor lists 9.30am, so confirm the arrival time before travelling.
Ticketed.
