Food & DrinkThe Long Table Lates: The Kimberleys
Thursday 14 May
📍 Cirencester

About this event
Tree ring prints flip the usual relationship between material and image — the wood itself is the subject. You scorch the surface of a locally sourced block, wire brush it to raise the grain and ring patterns, then ink and hand-burnish it to transfer those marks onto paper. The results are genuinely unpredictable in a good way.
Tutor Charlie Ash takes you through the full process, with room to experiment with colour and composition once you've got the technique. You might leave with a set of card-sized prints or a single larger piece — either way, something that looks like it took longer than a Saturday.
No printmaking experience needed; all materials and equipment provided. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
£105 for the full day.
