The Art of Hand Brooms: Broom Craft for Beginners

Make a broom, then take it home

This full-day workshop at New Brewery Arts introduces beginners to the hand skills behind traditional broom making. With tutor Jamie Dun, you will work with natural fibres, choose your broom shape and binding twine, then make at least one hand broom, kitchen brushes and a pet brush to take home.

The workshop suits adults who are new to the craft, as well as people with some experience who want to improve their technique. It is a physical day, so expect to use your hands, feet, core, arms, legs and back while you work.
