A Parade, a Picnic, and Eight Years of Community Pride

Stroud Pride has been running since 2018, and it remains one of those rare events that has never lost sight of what it started as: a community day out. No corporate sponsors plastering every banner, no headline act trucked in from elsewhere. Just a march through the streets and an afternoon in Bank Gardens with 500 or so people who want to be there.

The day begins with a parade that sets off from Bank Gardens at 11am, walking through the town before returning for the picnic, which runs from midday through to 6pm. Inside the marquee there is live entertainment from local queer performers and musicians, alongside stalls, information stands from local organisations, and space to simply sit in the sun with the community around you. The event is family-friendly throughout.

Stroud Pride is organised entirely by volunteers. Free entry.
