About this event
Cinderford Band has been playing in the Forest of Dean since 1879. One of Gloucestershire's most contest-seasoned brass bands, they were the first Forest outfit to reach Championship status and the first in the county to perform at the Royal Albert Hall.
These days a Second Section band with wins at Weston, Leamington, and Stroud to their name, they come to Stratford Park's Victorian bandstand for an afternoon of outdoor brass.
Expect the classic mix: marches, overtures, and popular arrangements, played by a band that's been at it for nearly 150 years.
Entry is free. The bandstand sits within Stratford Park's 56 acres just outside Stroud town centre. Bring a blanket and claim a spot on the grass before 2pm.
