Slight Night Afterparty

A free festival finale with poetry, noise and a little sporting mythology

The Dobunni Poetry Festival closes its Saturday programme at Rough Hands with an official afterparty that throws music, comedy and poetry into the same room. Lost Mythos bring a mythical parish-council meeting built from Mara Simpson's soundscapes, JLM Morton's poetry and Emma Kernahan's comic folklore.

God of Sports add an experimental free-verse sound world, drawing on athletic figures including Owens, Ali, Bolt and Jordan as the performance turns sport into surreal theatre. It is an offbeat late-evening choice for festival-goers who prefer their poetry with a band, a punchline and no tidy edges.

Free entry. Check the organiser's event page for current details and any booking requirement.
