Silver 'Russian' Ring Making

Separate silver bands become a ring you made yourself

Charlotte Duckworth guides you through making an interlocking Russian ring, starting with sample rings and design ideas before measuring, cutting and shaping your silver. You will practise hammering and textures on copper before forming, soldering and finishing the silver bands.

No previous jewellery experience is needed, and all materials and tools are supplied for this workshop for adults aged 18 and over. Leave with a finished ring to wear or give, after learning how the separate bands fit together.

Bring an apron or clothes you can get dirty, tie long hair back and bring any sketches or inspiration you want to explore. A lidded water bottle is welcome, but food is not allowed in the studio; Blend cafe serves refreshments until 4pm. The venue has lifts, ramps and accessible toilets, with paid parking in Brewery Car Park nearby; contact the team about your individual access needs.
