About this event
Make at least two sterling silver bangles with Fiona Dowling of Jewellery Moves, choosing from styles including a thin cuff and an expandable bangle. You will also learn to make a bezel setting for a stone.
The day covers sawing, soldering, filing, hammering, hand-stamping and finishing your jewellery. Beginners are welcome, as are people with some experience who want to develop their skills.
Fiona is a Royal College of Art graduate whose workshops teach traditional jewellery skills in small groups around a shared table. You can learn the processes while making pieces to take home.
Tools, tea, coffee and biscuits are included, but materials cost extra. Pay the tutor for your materials on the day, by cash or card.
The minimum age is 14, and anyone aged 16 or under must attend with a participating adult who has also booked a place. Bring lunch and your glasses if you wear them, and tie back long hair.
External stone steps with handrails lead to the Craft Barn. This may not suit visitors with mobility difficulties, so check access with the organiser before booking if needed.
The customer cancellation deadline is 4 January, and your place is confirmed only after full payment. If the organiser cancels, the policy offers a transfer, credit note or refund.
Ticketed. Materials cost extra.
