Music & ArtsFreeDobunni Exhibition: Friday
Friday 16 October
📍 Stroud

About this event
This Dobunni Poetry Festival session explores Rise of the Badger, an art and poetry anthology from Black Eyes Publishing UK that imagines the world after humanity has disappeared. Peter Lay introduces the book, while Dr Alex Perry brings a science-of-extinction perspective and his post-human tale A Dog Eat Dog World? to the discussion.
Josephine Lay hosts the talk and Q&A in the Grade II listed Chapels of Rest at Stroud Cemetery, a historic space currently being used as a community exhibition and performance venue in its un-renovated state. The hour closes with a limited-space open mic, so email Peter Lay at blackeyespublishinguk@yahoo.com if you would like to request a slot.
The organiser lists the Chapels of Rest, Stroud Cemetery, Bisley Road, Stroud GL5 1HJ. Stroud District Council points visitors to Traveline or Stagecoach for bus information and National Rail for train information; venue-specific parking and access arrangements are not published, so check before travelling.
Ticketed event. Check the organiser page for current availability and booking details.
