Bamboo First, Then a Proper Acacia Paddleboard

Lechlade Craft Barn moves this one out to the Memorial Hall Pavilion for the extra table space resin work needs, working with tutor Emma through two builds in one sitting: a bamboo board to get the technique right, then a full hanging acacia paddleboard to keep.

A fast-cure resin goes down first and is left to cure properly before UV resin comes into play for the wave and bubble effects that give each board its own pattern, no two turn out the same. Two matching or contrasting wooden coasters get made alongside the boards, and the timetable runs long enough to let the resin cure properly rather than to a fixed finish time. Vegan, non-toxic resin throughout, on boards chosen for their anti-microbial properties.

What you take home is a genuine serving piece, not a craft-fair curiosity, patterned in a way nobody else will be able to copy.
