Plein Air Painting & Drawing by Stratford Park Lake

Sunday En Plein Air at Stratford Park

Chris James runs Stroud Artists' Cooperative's weekly outdoor sketch group, the kind that goes out whatever the weather is doing, and this Sunday he is bringing it to the lake at Stratford Park for a morning open to anyone with a sketchbook.

The session ties into Park Life, the Cooperative's exhibition running at the Museum in the Park throughout August, a year-long project by its members capturing everyday life across the district's parks and green spaces. Basic materials are provided, so turning up empty-handed is fine, and the pace suits complete beginners alongside regulars from the Sunday group.

A second plein air session runs from the bandstand at 2pm the same day, and the museum has meet-the-artist talks and demonstrations through the month as part of the same exhibition.

Free, but booking is required
