Learning to read a fragrance family before you blend one

Pippa runs Pip Natural Blends from Swindon, a skincare and fragrance business recently named Best Natural Skincare Specialist 2026 for Southern England. The Sunday afternoon session at Lechlade Craft Barn is built around the same trade knowledge that goes into her retail range: she takes the group through the different families of essential and fragrance oils before showing how to combine them, rather than handing out a fixed recipe.

Two and a half hours gets you a 30ml eau de cologne and a 10ml roll-on, both mixed to a formula nobody else in the room will land on by accident. Materials, tea, coffee and biscuits are included, and the session is open from age 13, with under-16s attending alongside a participating adult. Anyone with mobility concerns should note the barn is reached via external stone steps.
