About this event
Northern Soul never really went away in this part of the world — locals have been making the pilgrimage to Wigan Casino, Stafford, and the 100 Club since the seventies — but it's been having a proper moment lately. The Five Valleys Soul Club has put Stroud on the map, Bristol's scene is growing, and now Dursley's own night at the Chantry Centre is celebrating its first anniversary.
Six DJs — Ken Dunn, Sid Pratt, Tony Soulprano, Dave Dunsford, Nigel Lane, and Martin Tudor — keep it strictly original vinyl all evening: the hard-to-find American soul 45s that defined the scene, not the reissues.
Doors at 6:30pm, music from 7pm. Free parking at Long Street Car Park, about 100 metres away.
Two successful nights in 2025 and a sold-out February 2026 show behind them — this one's worth booking ahead. Tickets £8.62 including booking fee.
Saturday 23 May 2026 · The Chantry Centre Lister Hall, Dursley GL11 4JB · Doors 6:30pm
