About this event
Lechlade Craft Barn is a proper workshop space tucked into a cottage garden just outside the village, and this Friday morning session is one of their most popular regulars. You'll make a drum lampshade — no sewing involved — using a stretch-and-glue technique that produces a clean, professional finish even if you've never touched a lampshade frame before.
Choose between a 20cm or 30cm drum (samples of both are on hand), then spend the morning building it up with rings, tape and adhesive. All the components are included in the price. The only thing to bring is half a metre of fabric — cotton, linen, or a light printed canvas all work well — to match wherever the finished shade is heading. The barn has a fabric stash to dip into if you don't have anything to hand. Tea and coffee are included.
Lampshade kits are available to buy on the day if you want to make more at home.
