Choose your fabric, then make a lampshade to match

Make a 20cm or 30cm drum lampshade in a no-sew workshop suitable for beginners. The finished shade can fit a lamp base or ceiling light, and samples of both sizes help you choose before starting.

Bring about half a metre of light-to-medium-weight fabric; outer fabric is not included, and you may need a little more to position a particular pattern. Avoid heavy textures, stretchy fabric, velvet and heavy embroidery, and the barn sells fabric from its stash if you need an alternative.

All lampshade-making components, tea and coffee are included, and kits are available if you want to carry on at home. The Craft Barn has external stone steps with handrails and may not suit anyone with mobility difficulties, so factor the access into your plans before joining the reserve list.
