From Blank Block to Printed Edition

Lino printing is one of those crafts that looks more involved than it is — and one morning with the right tutor is enough to go from no experience to printing a proper edition.

Katy Upton leads this half-day workshop at New Brewery Arts in Cirencester, covering tool safety, carving technique and mark-making through to printing — both hand burnishing and press. You'll transfer your own design to the block, carve it, and leave with a small single-colour edition printed by your own hand. Bring sketches or images to work from; single-colour designs work best at around 20x15cm. All tools and materials provided.

Complete beginners welcome, 18+.
