Sport & OutdoorsFreeSouth Cerney Lakes Free Group Walk
Saturday 17 October
📍 South Cerney

About this event
Join fungi expert Joe McSorley on a two-hour walk across Cleeve Common, looking for mushrooms and toadstools appearing through the grass. This is an identification walk rather than a foraging session, with edible species covered alongside other fungi facts.
The route includes steep terrain, so moderate fitness is needed. It is aimed at adults, with interested secondary-school-age children welcome when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and well-socialised dogs on leads can join too.
Wear weatherproof clothing and sturdy footwear, and bring a hand lens if you have one. The golf club has toilets, a cafe and bar, with paid parking, but the route's wider accessibility is not published.
Ticketed. Advance booking is recommended.
