Fireworks to music, with rides before the display

Get to Marling School Playing Field early for a family evening built around Star Fireworks' music-led display. Gates open at 6pm, with John Coneley's funfair running until 9.30pm and hot food, drinks and snacks available on the field.

John Harvey brings three Punch and Judy shows and balloon bending for children under 12 before the fireworks begin at 8pm. The Rotary Clubs of Stroud, Stonehouse and Nailsworth organise the evening as a fundraiser for local charities and good causes.

Bring warm waterproof layers and sturdy footwear because the field can be wet and muddy. There is no general parking at the venue, two blue-badge spaces are available first come, first served, and the cash-only stalls mean it is worth arriving prepared.

Sparklers, fireworks, laser lights, alcohol and drugs are not allowed. Advance ticket sales close at noon on Friday 23 October, and the event closes at 10pm.
