About this event
The Cotswold Players bring John Sturges's 1963 wartime classic to the Playhouse, following Allied prisoners as they plan a mass break from a German prisoner-of-war camp. Based on Paul Brickhill's account of the real Stalag Luft III escape, it combines tunnel-building ingenuity with the famous motorcycle chase, while the BBFC's PG advice notes mild violence, language and injury detail.
This is a prompt 7.30pm screening with no adverts or trailers, and the venue advertises a 172-minute colour presentation. That points to a finish at about 10.22pm if there is no interval; the Playhouse also warns that the back two rows may have a slightly interrupted view of the top of the screen.
The theatre has step-free Row A, two wheelchair spaces available by advance booking, lifts, a sound loop and a disabled toilet. Parliament Street Car Park is free in the evening and about a five-minute walk away.
Ticketed. Book through the Cotswold Playhouse.
