Crochet Fundamentals

Start with the stitches, finish with a small project

This full-day workshop is for adults who are new to crochet or would like a refresher. Lisa Donaldson covers holding the hook and yarn, making the first stitches, working in rows and rounds, changing colours and understanding crochet language.

The afternoon puts those basics to work in a small project, with simple patterns and charts, troubleshooting and finishing techniques along the way. A beginner-friendly hook, yarn and take-home instructions are provided, and the session is for ages 18 and over.

New Brewery Arts has lifts, ramps and a ground-floor accessible toilet, so tell the team about access needs when booking. Bring a lidded bottle of water, but keep food out of the studio; the cafe serves refreshments until 4pm.

Ticketed workshop. Booking required.
