Two Candles and a Diffuser Before Lunch

Lechlade Craft Barn runs out of a converted stone barn on the edge of town, and this candle workshop is led by guest tutor Jenny, who teaches the actual ratios behind wax, dye and fragrance rather than just handing round a pre-measured kit.

By half past twelve you'll have poured two fragranced soy candles, one in a glass jar finished with a swirl effect, the other in a tin with a lid, and blended a reed diffuser from fragrance oil and a base carrier, threaded through with reeds. Everyone takes home an instruction sheet covering the ratios used, so what you learn here works again at your own kitchen table. No experience needed.

You leave not just with candles, but with the knowledge to make the next batch yourself.
