About this event
The Buccaneer Aviation Group plans a close-up running display beside Cotswold Airport's North Apron, with an aircraft started within sight of the viewing enclosure before a runway taxi. The programme includes the wing fold, airbrake, bomb door, arrestor hook, flaps and all-moving tailplane, with a possible high-powered static run before shutdown.
There is an hour for lunch at the airport's AV8 Cafe and time to see displays including the Boeing 747, Hunter T.8C and Canberra PR.9. After lunch, visitors can go airside to see both Buccaneers, talk with volunteers and tour the cockpit section. The ticket page lists the day for ages 12 and over, with free parking and food available on site.
Bring ear defenders and wear hi-vis clothing, especially for the airside section. Disabled parking can be arranged with TBAG after booking, but the listed toilets are not accessible. This is a loud, practical look at keeping a Cold War jet operational rather than a static museum visit.
