About this event

Can you tell a Roman pot from a medieval bone shard?

This free Young Archaeologists' Club drop-in gives 8 to 16-year-olds a chance to test their archaeological eye at Corinium Museum. They can distinguish a Bronze Age burial from an Iron Age coin hoard, compare Roman pottery with medieval bone shards and think about what counts as treasure.

Working with the museum's Phill and Michaela, young visitors will explore how digs work and some of the methods archaeologists use. The games and puzzles make this a practical introduction to the past, whether archaeology is already a favourite subject or a new curiosity.

Corinium Museum has level entry, accessible toilets and two disabled parking spaces outside. The event page does not publish an adult-attendance rule or capacity limit, so check with the museum if supervision or extra support matters.

Free entry. Drop in without booking.
