About this event

Stone Age Mark-Making at the Corinium

The Corinium Museum opened new Stone Age galleries this year, part of a £1.3 million project that now takes the story of the Cotswold landscape back to its earliest human settlers, long before the Romans arrived. This workshop is part of the summer holiday programme built around those galleries.

Children spend 90 minutes drawing from the Stone Age: exploring how prehistoric communities recorded the world around them and learning the observational techniques archaeologists still use to document ancient objects. The museum's collection of flint tools and prehistoric artefacts from Cotswold sites gives children real objects to study and draw from. All materials are provided.

Tickets are £12.50 per child, £10.00 for museum members. The session is capped at ten places.
