Talk & LectureThe Glosters in the Korean War: Why Is It Relevant Today?
Friday 16 October
📍 Cirencester

About this event
Roger Moorhouse brings the Battle of the Atlantic to Cirencester History Festival through the people who lived it below the waves. Drawing on archives, diaries and memoirs, he follows Germany's submariners from early confidence to the fear, hardship and losses that came as the Allies turned the tide.
The talk explores the claustrophobic reality of life inside a steel hull and the human cost behind the familiar U-boat campaign. No formal age guidance is published, but the subject matter covers Nazi Germany, wartime violence and heavy losses.
The church has level access through the North Door and accessible toilets.
Ticketed.
